10/10 For Plugging All Day and All Night

The very best rods I’ve ever used for plugging away for stripers and blues all day and all night. Super lightweight, durable, and strong. I have the 10’6” MHMF, 10’ MMF, 9’ MMF and the 7’ MMF. The 10’6” is my go to for Bucktails in accordance to the rating. 10’ and 9’ are my go to for swimming plugs, bucktails, and topwater. 5-7” plugs. 7’ is my go to for close quarters for lighter bucktails and lighter swimming plugs and topwater. I could not recommend a better surf rod if you fish for hours and hours on end.

Seage 10'-6" 3/4" to 4oz

Used this rod for NE surf fishing striped bass and blues. No issues so far. Weight range is accurate with the sweet spot between 2 3/4oz and 3 oz. Rod is light and action is accurate. I like it.

Purchased a 10' SEAGE model SES100MMF2.
I've had it for 3 weeks used 5 times for about 1 hour each time surf casting off a sand beach. Last night something started rattling inside the handle blank, it slides back & forth inside the handle.
I can't see or tell what it is maybe a piece of hardware not sure but it is annoying and wondering if it secures something internally and came loose.
I just submitted a warranty form on this site. Hopefully I get some results..

Spend a little more get a better rod

I had two 9ft ml break at the tip casting weight that was with in spec. Also one of the rods reel set top was loose. Couldn’t even use it after it came straight from st croix warehouse. Warranty process takes too long. After getting a new rod. It still breaks what a joke. At least my legends have held up well.

Stay Away Worst Action on a Rod I have Ever Owned

I purchased the SES80MMF with great excitement. I loved all of my previous St. Croix rods going back nearly 20 years. This rod however is terrible. The rod does not load AT ALL and is the worst casting rod I have ever used. I contacted St Croix regarding the action with no course of action. Very unsatisfied and ended up purchasing another 8ft rod in its place. Stay away from these rods unless you are ok with diminishing your casting distance by more than 50%.
