Professional/Personal Highlights: Thanks to numerous paper mills and hydroelectric plants, the Wisconsin River has been called the hardest working river in America. And Don works the river hard, seeking muskies for clients and himself. A Muskies, Inc., member since 1986, he has held chapter board positions and currently is an at-large director for new chapters, not to mention sitting on the International Board of Directors. A member of the Masters Division for Muskies, Inc., fishing contest, Don competes and guides, both in and out of competition. In 2004, for example, he guided a partner to 1st place in the Pewaukee Classic. Don guides on Pewaukee and Okauchee Lakes in addition to the Wisconsin River. But what he likes guiding most is willing students, regardless of their age, into becoming proficient anglers. On the other hand, the lures that Don manufactures under the name, D. J. Creature Baits, train fish to bite when they don't want to. Now there's a trick.
