Professional/Personal Highlights: What a kidder that Russ is. The truth is he listed so many "favorite" St. Croix rods that we couldn't fit all of them in that field. For a spinning rod Russ prefers the Legend Elite Spinning ES70MLF. When it comes to casting he likes our Premier Casting PC76LM and PC70HF rods. When fly fishing you'll most likely find a Legend Elite Fly E904.4, Avid Fly AF803 or old-Legend Fly LF763. That last one hasn't been made since 1997 and we've tried to convince Russ that he should update to a Legend Ultra Fly U793.4 or Avid Fly AF703. Russ is a Northern Wisconsin guide for both fishing and hunting; he especially enjoys putting together combination trips. Russ will fly fish out of a float boat but he thoroughly enjoys wading, as well. You see, Russ is the kind of guy who enjoys older things and ways. When he hits a lake, for example, Russ rows the boat so he can quietly slip into position just like Grandpa did. And Grandpa probably used fiberglass St. Croix rods, too.
