He is certainly no stranger to musky fishing circles, but his prowess with a rod and reel definitely goes way beyond that -- being equally adept fishing for walleyes, bass, and trout. In fact, Bucher currently holds five line class world records with the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame on just about every species of freshwater fish besides muskies --- smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, brook trout, and northern pike.

His popular fishing TV series, Fishing With Joe Bucher, depicts Joe's overall versatility as a multi-species angler. Each and every week, Bucher can be seen catching whopper walleyes, big bronzebacks, lunker largemouths, and monster muskies. This versatility was built on a solid foundation that has its roots in a full-time guiding career that spanned nearly 25 years.
