Well , after ordering this rod, I couldn't wait to get out on the water and break it in......Summer in NJ is all about fishing deeper ledges and edges of weed beds with the drop shot ....So I rigged up my new rod w/ a Power Team Lures JP Hammer shad and tossed it on the edge of the weeds near a sunken island and bounced it a few times......the....BAM....It was FISH ON and GAME ON!!!.....6.4 pound Largemouth.......close to my PB.......Rod was bent in half but no problem to play this horse and land him on such a light rod...I own several Avid's and Legend Elites and this rod has become my new favorite......Every rock,weed, blade of grass is easily felt and distinguished...I LOVE my AVIDS!!!......Thank St. Croix for making the best rods on Earth!!!
