I had taken my good friend Jim Hagel for some fall Smallmouth Bass fishing in northern WI. We were working deep water structure with Tube jigs, using the new Avid AVS63MLXF rods with 6 lb test line. Jim managed to land this monster 22.7" Smallie weighing 7 lbs 1 oz on my digital scale. He is now "hooked" on St. Croix rods forever!
